Sessions & attendance
Half-day attendance slots
Split a session into half-day slots to collect attendance per half-day, as Qualiopi expects.

Attendance is collected per half-day slot, not once per session. This is the granularity Qualiopi and the BPF expect for trainings spanning several half-days.
Prerequisites
- Session in Delivery phase (started).
- Admin role.
1. Generate the slots
From the session dates, Certeef automatically splits the period into slots (morning / afternoon, split at 13:00). Each slot carries its time bounds and status.
Tip: review the automatically generated slots before opening the session, adjust start/end times if your actual schedule differs from the standard 09:00–13:00 / 14:00–17:00 split.
2. Manage slots
From the per-slot view you can:
- Add a slot (e.g. extra morning for a makeup session)
- Edit a slot’s time bounds
- Cancel a slot : refused if already signed
Important: deletion is refused for slots that already have signatures. Reopen the session and clear the attendance before modifying a signed slot.
3. Collect signatures per slot
For each slot, send the attendance links, record arrival and departure times, and collect learner signatures. See Attendance sheet and signatures.
4. Summary sheet
Click Summary sheet to generate the attendance matrix (learners × slots), useful for audit filing and funder reporting.
What’s next?
- Attendance sheet and signatures : collect presence and signatures.
- Issue the completion certificate : generate the certificate after all slots are completed.
Frequently asked questions
- Why attendance per half-day?
- A single signature is not enough for a multi-day training: Qualiopi and the BPF expect attendance per half-day. Slots materialize that granularity.
- How are slots created?
- They are generated automatically from the session dates (morning/afternoon split at 13:00). You can then add, edit or delete one, deletion is refused if the slot has already been signed.
- Can I change the split time between morning and afternoon?
- The default split is at 13:00. You can edit a slot's start and end times manually to reflect your actual schedule.
- What happens if a learner was absent for only part of a slot?
- Enter the actual arrival and departure times for that slot. The effective duration is calculated proportionally and feeds the attendance rate on the completion certificate.
