The completion certificate attests that a training action was actually delivered. It is issued per learner and per closed session, reusing the attendance already collected at sign-in.
Prerequisites
- Admin role.
- Session in Closing phase (completed).
- Attendance complete for the learners concerned.
1. Generate the certificates
In the session’s Closing phase, the completion-certificate block offers one certificate per present learner:
- Click Generate next to a learner (or Generate all for batch processing).
- Certeef allocates a sequential number (prefix
CR). - The attendance rate is computed (hours delivered vs planned).
- The PDF is archived and downloadable immediately.
Tip: generate certificates in batch right after closing, faster than one by one, and you avoid forgetting a learner.
2. Mandatory mentions and funder
The certificate carries the required legal mentions:
- Beneficiary (learner)
- Training action title
- Delivery dates
- Attendance rate
- Funder (if entered in funding tracking)
- Organization’s legal representative (from the billing profile)
Important: verify that the funder is entered in funding tracking before generating the certificate, it cannot be modified after generation.
What’s next?
- Manage funding : verify the funder before generation.
- Export or archive a session : freeze the complete file after certificates.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the completion certificate for?
- It is the legal document funders require (French decree 2019-1143) attesting the action was carried out. It is issued per learner and per session, with the attendance rate.
- Where does the attendance rate come from?
- It is computed from the session's planned duration and the learner's actual check-in/attendance (signed slot, otherwise full presence, otherwise 0).
- Can I generate the certificate before the session is closed?
- No. The certificate can only be generated once the session is closed. This guarantees that attendance is complete before the document is issued.
- Is the certificate sent automatically to the learner?
- No. Generation creates the PDF and archives it in Certeef. It is up to you to transmit it to the learner via the attestation sending action on the session record.
