Opportunities materialize your live deals, from prospecting to close. The sales module is restricted to the admin role.
Prerequisites
- Admin role.
1. Kanban view and stages
The pipeline displays as a Kanban (default view): one column per stage, with a deal counter and the sum of amounts. Toggle between List and Kanban views as needed.
Stages are customizable per organization:
- Open Settings → Pipeline stages.
- Create, rename, recolor, reorder or delete stages.
- Set each stage’s outcome: open, won, or lost.
Tip: keep the pipeline simple, 4 to 6 stages is usually enough. Too many stages slows down daily updates.
2. Create an opportunity
Click New opportunity and fill in:
- Title and amount
- Stage (initial position in the pipeline)
- Company and contact (via the search palette)
- Training (optional link to your catalog)
3. Move opportunities through the pipeline
In the Kanban view, drag a card to the target column. The stage and its associated outcome update immediately.
Important: closing an opportunity as “won” does not automatically create a session or invoice. You must do that manually from the linked training.
What’s next?
- Quotes and invoices : turn a won deal into a quote and invoice.
- Manage client companies : maintain your company and contact directory.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I customize the pipeline stages?
- Yes. You can create, rename, recolor, reorder or delete stages, and set their outcome (open / won / lost). Deleting a stage that holds opportunities requires reassigning them to another stage.
- How do I move an opportunity between stages?
- By drag and drop in the Kanban view: the card changes stage immediately. You can also toggle between List and Kanban views.
- Can I attach a training to an opportunity?
- Yes. Each opportunity can reference one or more trainings from your catalog. This helps link the deal to the eventual session and invoicing.
- Is the sales module visible to trainers?
- No. The sales module (opportunities, quotes, invoices, funding) is restricted to the admin role.
